Automatic Pet Feeder

Why did you choose this product over others?:Great spec for the price! Bought this feeder to cover for frequent, short business trips and I am not disappointed. Have had it set up for a week now, so my two Cats get used to it. Via the App it was a very simple “Quick Start”.I’ve recorded an automated message to call them when I manually dispense food through might phone, as well as used the audio communication to talk to them.The Camera has a wide enough angle that I can also use it for a bit of security & peace of mind since together with the motion detector I can see if there is movement in the house while I’m away.  For a reasonably cheap feeder with integrated camera, the spec on it is very good! Some features (the IR laser toy for example) I haven’t even used yet.Perhaps my only bugbear is the App and associated “Pop Up Ads” if you don’t Subscribe… it’s only a minor thing but when you open the App and have to close a pop-up to launch the feeder access it can be a bit of a nuisance.All in all I’m very happy with this purchase and have already recommended it to a friend for his pet.

Very good feeder like that you can set the timer when you are out and also like the manual feeding option also and has a very good camera

Works very well for cat food, but you need to get the small biscuits as the bigger ones causes it to get stuck. I do love the product and the camera is very clear and useful for when I'm away.

I'm loving this automatic cat feeder. I can schedule times to feed my cats using the app. I found this to be very useful as I can now give them smaller portions every 4 hours rather than feed them large portions only 2 twice a day. The camera function is great. I have two cats, so I can use this to monitor who is eating the food and how often. The camera quality is fine. The best part is that this can be operated without being plugged in. I have this plugged in, but the battery is useful during a power cut. I still feed my cats wet food, but this provides dry food for them to have at any time while also managing portion sizes. I would recommend this.

This auto-pet feeder is ideal for routine dry food feeding on a schedule. Be that because your cat will just eat everything put in front of it, or because you want to regulate feeding times this can do it. Im sure this would also work great for smaller dogs too so long as they dont like to constantly try and tip over the food hopper.The unit itself is all plastic but sturdy enough for all but the roughest of cats and comes with a metal feeding bowl. The top lid contains some silica gel packet space to help keep moisture out of the dry foods which is handy and really quite nice to see as a lot of other devices like this Ive used omit this useful feature.The camera is neat and functional if not the highest quality, it does what its meant to do. Tip: It can be moved in software, dont manually click it into place like I did. Though I did this it actually continued to function just fine! I dont advise doing it though.We also get a USB cable and power pack in the packet as well.App requires registration with yet another company which is a pain, ideally I would like to see local control with a local API exposed (webhooks would be easy to implement) as there is no good reason to really connect devices like this to the internet.Another issue I found is that the speaker during setup is LOUD without a way to turn it down and its super irritating while pairing or waiting to pair the device, screaming out its prompt to pair it.Everything else like timers is app driven and easy enough to understand. Be aware that the first feed will be empty until its rotated round with some dry food actually in the rotation chamber so you'll have to "feed" at least twice to get some food into the bowl, but after that its perfectly functional for dry feeding with the ability to see your pet while away from home.
